Meet Eunice

SOMATIC HEALER, COACH, DOULA

(she/her)

I am a mother, eldest daughter, and first gen Korean American immigrant.

I care deeply about the wellbeing of mothers and mothers-to-be and supporting their evolution through preconception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and beyond.

I help you navigate preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum feeling more peace, joy, and confidenceand less anxiety and overwhelm.

It bring me great joy to help women and birthing people navigate the tender, vulnerable, utterly transformative period of matrescence—the physical, emotional, hormonal, social, psychological, and spiritual metamorphosis of becoming a mother.

My prenatal/postpartum somatic healing and life alignment coaching practice integrates 10+ years of experience, my studies in cultural psychology at Harvard University, and my training as a doula to help you come home to your body and reclaim your power, peace, and pleasure during this sacred journey.

Outside of this work, I love spending quality time with my son Teo, husband, family, and friends. I also love practicing traditional Korean dance, swimming in warm waters, and traveling (Jeju is my favorite place in the world).

  • No, all pregnant and postpartum moms are welcome!

    Every pregnancy and postpartum experience can be different, and you can benefit from the mind-body-spirit support regardless of how many pregnancies you've experienced.

  • Therapy, coaching, and somatic healing all offer support, but they differ in their approaches, goals, and the areas they focus on. Here's a breakdown:

    • Therapy primarily focuses on healing and addressing emotional, psychological, and mental health issues. It's often centered around understanding and resolving past trauma, behavioral patterns, and emotional difficulties. It often involves diagnoses and sometimes medication.

    • Coaching is future-focused and aims to help you achieve specific personal or professional goals. It’s more about growth, self-improvement, and reaching potential rather than addressing deep-seated psychological issues.

    • Somatic healing is an umbrella term for mind-body-spirit modalities and mindfulness that is focused on helping you nourish your nervous system, reconnect with your body, cultivate presence, and expand your capacity to handle the ups and downs of your journey with more peace and ease.

    I offer the latter two services: coaching and somatic healing.

    There can be overlap among the three, and my services complement therapy beautifully.

    My somatic healing and coaching practice focuses on prenatal and postpartum wellbeing and life alignment.

    If you're looking for a holistic, body-led approach where you deepen your trust in your body, voice, and intuition and nourish your mind-body-spirit wellbeing through your journey, my private 1:1 coaching and somatic healing is a great fit for you.

    If you want to complement your talk therapy with somatic, ancestral, spiritual healing and coaching, my private 1:1 support is also a great fit for you.

  • Private 1:1 Somatic Healing & Coaching incorporates my skills and training as a birth doula.

    For example, the somatic healing, visualization, and breathwork skills you learn through our work together can be very impactful and helpful during childbirth. I apply my training in childbirth education in tangible ways so you can feel more prepared for labor.

    With that said, this program isn't the same as hiring a doula.

    • Birth doulas are typically physically present at your birth, as an advocate and support person during labor and birth. Most offer 1-2 prenatal sessions to prep for birth.

    • Postpartum doulas are often physically present at your home, providing support like cooking, cleaning, helping with diaper changes, feeding and soothing baby, etc.

    Through Private 1:1 Somatic Healing & Coaching, I support clients through their rite of passage into motherhood—wherever they’re at in the journey (preconception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, preconception again, etc), not just focused on the event of birth.

    Through long-term support, recovery, and integration, my hope is that you receive the care you need to thrive in this next chapter. (It takes nearly 2 years on average for women and birthing people to heal from postpartum.)

    Part of our work together can be assembling your care team and village, including doulas.

  • Great! Your midwife and/or OBGYN are a medical professional who oversee the medical aspects of your pregnancy and birth, including delivering your baby.

    This program is a great complement for your mental, emotional, somatic, spiritual wellbeing through the entirety of your pregnancy and postpartum journey.

  • Yes, your partner can be included in the process if you would like. During our consultation, onboarding process, and our first 1:1 session, we will get clear on your goals for our time together. Depending on your goals, we can decide together how we include your partner, whether it's one or multiple sessions.

  • In the unfortunate event that a baby is lost in a miscarriage, we will be able to work together through your bereavement process or connect you with other resources supportive for pregnancy loss and grief. With the latter option, a prorated refund will be available.

  • Especially the sacred transition of the first 40 days postpartum, I prioritize flexibility to best support you. Whether in the days leading up to your birth or during those early weeks, we can customize our session schedule to fit your needs.

    You can choose to push out the session dates or maintain our original timing—whichever feels right for you. We can connect through Zoom or by phone, ensuring you receive the support you need during this transformative time.
